HE Ambassador of Russia Mr Yuri Fedotov's Speech

Mr Yuri Fedotov paid an annual visit to LSE and to member of Russian Society at LSE. This tradition goes back for many years. For the past 7 years, the tradition of ambassador of Russia to speak at LSE was only once interupted - in 2005 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mr. Sergey Lavrov visited LSE with a public lecture.

This year, Mr. Yuri Fedotov especially emphasized on the results of G8 summit in St. Petersburg, which was the culmination of Russian presidency at the organization. Whilst based in London, the Ambassador answered in details all the questions the audience had, which ranged from questions about the world's politics to questions about London newspapers.

After the lecture, everyone was pleasantly surprised by the visit Kazakh future-reporter paid us in order to produce a TV report, which is to be aired on Kazakh television.
